Owen's enthusiasm and dedication to the pursuit of knowledge leads
to a never ending list of qualifications, courses and the study of countless philosophies and theories. As a result
this web site is already out of date! Owen is very likely to have started another line of inquiry or study to further his
understanding. Below is an explanation of some of the major milestones in his education.
Owen's
work has greatly benefited from his diverse range of experiences and qualifications. After completing a sports
science degree at Bangor University Owen spent a year working as a fitness instructor and personal trainer. He then went
back to university to pursue a master’s diploma in sports psychology. A year in San Antonio, Texas saw him playing and
coaching basketball at a high level. Returning to Britain, Owen took up an anatomy and physiology lecturer position at
Esher Sixth Form College. He has successfully completed his massage qualifications at the London School of Sports Massage
and is a member of the Institute of Sport and Remedial Massage. Owen also gained the prestigious title of structural
integrator for the KMI school where he studied under Thomas Myers, James Earls, Lou Benson and Lauren Christman amongst others.
He continues
to learn and regularly attends courses and lectures. Between courses he actively keeps up to date with the
latest research and ideas. Owen has guest lectured at a number of universities with an enthusiasm and insight that is infectious
with his students.
Having moved from London Owen is now working near the delightful Peak
District, 30 minutes from Manchester and Sheffield city centres. He works with a wide variety of people,
from elite sports people to sedentary office workers, and encountered and dealt with numerous different injuries and
issues.
When not working Owen is a keen runner and climber although most of his spare time is spent with his
family.
